What makes Dr. Kimber's approach different?
Foundational Medicine is at the core of my practice as a naturopathic physician, a crucial aspect often missing in integrative and functional medicine practices. By emphasizing the importance of opening drainage pathways before detoxification and focusing on upregulating mitochondrial function, Foundational Medicine clears the “white noise.” It creates a physiological framework that increases the effectiveness of any supplement or protocol. My primary goal is to identify the root cause of health issues, moving beyond the common pitfalls of symptom-based treatments and addressing the underlying factors, such as mitochondrial dysfunction, parasites, toxins, and viruses. By doing so, I aim to facilitate foundational-level healing and help the body function optimally as it was designed.
Conventional medicine often relies too heavily on pharmaceuticals to manage symptoms without addressing the underlying causes of illness. In contrast, functional medicine may focus on supplementing nutritional deficiencies without addressing the root causes of those deficiencies, which can ultimately be caused by toxicity. Foundational practitioners aim to address these root causes, including toxic burdens from things like metals, chemicals, and mold and pathogen overloads from bacteria, viruses, and parasites.
How does Dr. Kimber work?
In my naturopathic practice, I focus on employing alternative, natural, and effective approaches to care for your health and overcome disease. Drugless protocols and behavior requirements that support the body’s innate healing ability form the foundation of my healthcare philosophy. Through diet, lifestyle changes, lab work, and proper supplementation, I create personalized protocols designed to help you achieve optimal health. My extensive, research-based training as a naturopathic physician has equipped me with an investigative mindset, allowing me to identify and act upon healing opportunities instead of simply treating symptoms.
I recognize the interconnectedness and interdependence of our body systems and strive to promote healing within the body rather than providing the healing myself. As a practitioner, I aim to create individualized treatment plans that address your specific needs and promote overall health and well-being. By integrating naturopathic Medicine into an individual’s healing plan, I aim to improve outcomes and reduce the need for medication, ultimately contributing to developing strong, healthy bodies.
When assessing an individual’s health, I consider their entire history, including emotional events, stress, and trauma, as they all play a role in influencing overall well-being. I also consider environmental toxicity from conventional self-care and home products, which can contribute to a range of health issues. Stress is a significant factor in disease and illness, accounting for 50% of all illnesses and 70-80% of all doctor visits for stress-related issues. As a trained professional, I am skilled at identifying external and internal hidden stressors and examining every aspect of your life before developing a process to achieve optimal health.
By establishing optimal diet and lifestyle habits, you can maintain a balanced state that promotes peace and longevity. Being proactive rather than reactive in your health journey allows you to honor your body as the temple that God has instructed it to be (1 Corinthians 6:19). By focusing on the whole person and addressing the root causes of health issues, my practice aims to empower individuals to take control of their well-being and live a healthier, more balanced life.
From Dr. Kimber's Perspective
As a naturopathic physician, my purpose has developed from witnessing people in my community doing their best but unknowingly making choices that negatively impact their health. I became a naturopathic practitioner to revolutionize how my community understands and treats their health. Conventional medical practitioners often need more time to explain the connections between diet, lifestyle, and overall health, resorting to prescribing medication for symptoms rather than addressing the underlying causes.
As a naturopathic physician, my intent is not to undermine the work of conventional Medicine but to complement it by striking a balance between focusing on lifestyle changes and healthcare. My conviction lies in saving our nation’s rapidly declining health, which requires a switch from treating symptoms to healing the root cause of illness. This means listening, validating, recommending attainable changes, and following through with the individuals seeking optimal health.
Wellness is a way of life; our bodies are designed to thrive. I am committed to using my knowledge and skills as a naturopathic doctor to help people feel their best and achieve optimal health through natural and non-invasive treatments. My passion lies in empowering individuals to take control of their health and positively impact the lives of those I serve. By focusing on the root causes of illness and promoting a balanced approach to healthcare, I aim to change how my community understands and prioritizes their well-being.
Who can benefit?
Those who could benefit most from working with a Naturopathic Physician:
- Have been to multiple doctors for symptoms but haven’t gotten answers or symptom relief.
- Need to be heard and have their whole health history reviewed.
- Are looking for science-backed clinical knowledge of how the body works.
- Believe with conviction that inflammation is at the root cause of illness.
- Aim to prevent future health conditions.
- Want to treat their body with a holistic mindset and live a more natural lifestyle.
I will meet you where you’re at in your health journey. I advocate for optimal health and encourage you to make changes without judgment. I found an integrative natural approach after conventional doctors failed to help me. They didn’t have the time or knowledge to look for what was causing my illness. I had to become my own healthcare advocate, or I would have never felt better.

- Food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities

The above list is by no means complete, just a snapshot of the many scenarios I am trained to work with as a Naturopathic physician. As a Board Certified Traditional Naturopathic Physician, I have taken coursework in biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, endocrinology, and digestion and detoxification. I consistently attend continuing education seminars based on the latest research on the Holistic wellness approach. These include Homeopathy, Essential Oils, and Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis. In addition, I am qualified to treat those suffering from Lyme Disease, Mold illness, parasites, and other chronically debilitating issues.
