Do you ever just feel like you simply don’t have what it takes? Maybe for a friendship, motherhood, your job, marriage, or something else? I burn the candle at both ends sometimes to prove to myself and others that I DO in fact have what it takes!

We currently have a 2 year old and 4 month old. Let’s take a poll- would you rather do sleep training for a baby or potty training for a toddler?!

Those 2 projects alone can make you question whether or not you have what it takes! But, I’ve been reminded in my devotional by Ruth Chou Simons that “We have infinite resources in Christ because transformation through His Word never ceases.”

His mercies are new every morning! (Lam 3:22-23).

The Lord has called me and knows me by name! (Isaiah 49:1).

God saved me and called me to a holy calling, not because of my works but because of His own purpose and grace, which he gave me in Christ Jesus before the ages began (2 Timothy‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬).

This song by Matt Maher, Alive and Breathing, is on repeat for me lately as well. The chorus says, “If you’re still alive and breathing, Praise the Lord! Joy still comes in the morning. Hope still walks with the hurting. If you’re still alive and breathing, Praise the Lord!”

So good! And I’m coaching myself to look upward. That means no pitty party as we navigate Covid world or any other curve ball thrown our way.

Give this song a listen and remember these Truths today if you’re feeling like you just don’t have what it takes.  ❤
