On September 6 my oldest son, Josh, is getting married. It will be the second time for me to be Mother of the Groom within 17 weeks.

You see these pictures? When we were young parents having tiny babies we COULD NOT imagine the first picture becoming the second picture, our starting five expanding to add two exceptional women to marry our boys.

IN 1999, we were just keeping our heads above water, loving on toddlers, changing diapers, trying to get everyone to eat their meals, teaching tiny voices to pray, and collapsing into bed at night so we could do it all again the next day.

And eventually 1999 became 2020 and God let us see what we had been building all those years. (A little quote from Christi VV.)

Be encouraged, young mamas. It has been a long season of being home with kids more than usual due to COVID. Maybe you have lost your temper more than usual. Maybe you are worried about how your kids will turn out.

Things will not always go smoothly. I learned that between 1999 and 2020. But God is always faithful. He ALWAYS loves you and loves your kids.

Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.
