Recently we posted a great article on family holiday traditions. Well, how about those of us who haven’t really established what those traditions look like?
For my husband and I, we’ve been married nearly 8 years but only had a child in the house for almost 2 years. Before kids we were just following our parent’s traditions, depending on who we were visiting for that holiday. And come to find out, some of our traditions and preferences are fairly different!

Here are a few examples: Thanksgiving – I love all of the traditional foods! The husband – turns his nose up at any veggie side 🤨😉 and even this year requested meatball subs! 😂
Christmas – my family never missed a Christmas Eve service; his did presents with extended family that evening.
Last year my husband and I tried to run outside together every day of Christmas break. This year, I’m 6 months pregnant, so… nope.

We talk about establishing some old and new traditions for our little family of 3, soon to be 4, but we’d love to know how you navigate this area of compromise! 🎄 Let us know in the comments! 👇🏻
