In Bible study recently, we were asked, “How has God anchored you and enabled you to stand firm as you follow Him daily?”

After giving it some thought, my response was: God anchors me through His Word and His past faithfulness. Incidentally, my husband and I had just been reflecting on God’s faithfulness. We declared – we fail if we do not regularly remember, reflect, and pass on to our children God’s faithfulness – in our individual lives, our family, and our marriage!

First, God in His mercy has called us to Himself and moved our hearts to receive His gift of salvation. In addition, He has rescued and renewed our marriage; there has been restoration and protection of our bodily health; we’ve experienced His financial provision; and now we are the recipients and stewards of two precious children, Mercy and Judah, and their names point to the ongoing goodness of God in our lives.

So I ask you – “How has God anchored you and enabled you to stand firm as you follow Him daily?”

God can handle our doubts and fears. Jesus, the superior high priest fulfills every known and unknown need. And He meets us in those needs and struggles. He is our anchor and hope, and our little family can testify to that over and over again.
