“You are running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.” Galatians 5:7-8 NIV
As I sit reflecting on this Galatians verse I can’t help but ask myself, “How are my new “year” resolutions doing? Have I lost the focus and meaning for them already? This verse takes me even further into reflection as I consider my walk with God. “Have I fallen back into a ‘prayer popping,’ ‘ask only’ relationship with my Lord? Not taking the time to read and hear what He wants me to know? And then I ask myself, “What has gotten in the way?”
➡️ How about you? Were you running a good race and are now distracted? What has gotten in the way? May we all come back to what God has called us to do and not be distracted and persuaded away from the Truth.
🙏🏻 “Lord, help me today, to choose you. Remove the distractions that keep me from living my life for the purpose you have called me to live. Increase my mental strength to fight the urges to give in. Open my eyes that I might see you, my ears that I might hear you, and my heart that I might live for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
