I mentioned in a recent Lifetime Remedy team meeting that I was excited about setting some goals for the New Year. Several of the gals had a chuckle and probably an internal eye roll. “That’s so Jillian.” 😉
To me, there’s something refreshing and hopeful about the New Year. I’m sure that’s not unique to me, but I do enjoy reflecting on what worked and what didn’t from the year before and then considering and mapping out where I want to go in the year ahead.

For the last several years I’ve been using the Powersheets goal planner from Cultivate What Matters. One of my main takeaways from their philosophy on goal setting is that there’s no pressure for perfection! Start small and take baby steps. If in 3 months you need to go in a completely different direction, fine, do that!

Some years might include big goals – buying a house, running a marathon, writing a book, etc. Other years, it might be the bare necessities. That’s pretty much me this year – have a baby, keep everyone alive, and hopefully get more sleep at the end of the year than at the start. 🙏🏻

In this last week of December, people talk about what they will take on or give up for the year ahead. Reserve a few moments in your time with the Lord this week to pray and imagine your 2020. Where do you want to be on December 31, 2020? Where do you want to be 30 years from now!? Today is a perfect day to move in the direction of things that are important to the legacy you want to live and leave. Whether it’s a Monday or a Thursday, today is a great day to just begin. And if you are in Christ, you are a new creation! The old has gone, the new has come! (2 Cor. 5:17) You are free to take the leap, no matter how big or how small.

We’re cheering you on over here at Lifetime Remedy. And we’d love to hear what you’re aiming for and looking forward to in 2020 in the Comments!
